Are Group is to use the Senus system for a building services project for the Kuopio Tax Office building in connection with the building’s full renovation and enlargement. The existing part of the property is being completely renovated and an extension built at the same time. The most important assessment criterion in the tendering was the overall property life cycle cost over a period of 15 years. The selection process looked at each system’s investment costs and maintenance and energy costs. The life cycle cost calculations showed Are Sensus to be the best option. Are Sensus efficiently utilises free sources of energy, using excess heat inside the building for heating ventilation air, for example. The cool temperature of outdoor air is used for cooling the premises more efficiently than with conventional systems.
