Are Group has acquired the share capital of construction company Nykänen & Liukku. The company operates in Central Finland and focuses on renovations.

“We offer our customers nation-wide services in line with our business strategy. We expand our offering of renovation services to include face lifting as well as comprehensive renovations of residential properties and office buildings” , states Jussi Piipponen, President and CEO of Are Group.

“This acquisition is a logical continuum to both the acquisition of Putki-Sampo last fall and Are’s growth targets set for the next years. We aim to utilize the strong renovation experience and know-how of Nykänen & Liukku’s personnel and further develop it. With this new team we can offer our customers even more versatile services” continues Mr Piipponen.

Construction company Nykänen & Liukku was established in 1987 and had a turnover of approximately 10 MEUR in 2006. The whole personnel of 70 will continue working within the company. Kari Mäenpää, former Board member and operative management member, will act as Managing Director of the company.
