Are Group and Lujatalo Oy have signed contracts for the delivery of access control, burglar alarm and video surveillance systems for the Gate Centre and the logistics area at Vuosaari Harbour.

The Gatehouse office tower, the Hansa Terminal, a parking building and four warehouses are under construction in the Vuosaari Harbour area.

Suomen Talokeskus Oy will act as the representative of Lujatalo Oy in the contracts.

“The competitive price and the technical know-how offered by Are suited our needs. The other contracts carried out by Are at the Vuosaari site, which have proceeded successfully, also helped us reach this decision,” explains Markku Hyvärinen of Suomen Talokeskus Oy.

The security system will be completed in October-November.

The access control system will cover about 150 doors and include up to 100 surveillance cameras.

The video surveillance system will use ‘hybrid’ recorders, which enable linking of analog cameras and web-based IP cameras to the system. The system also includes object recognition software, which sends an alarm if an object is moved or left in a camera’s surveillance zone. Fibre cable will be used for data transfer in the security system between properties and for cabling of cameras attached to masts in the area.
