Are Group has signed an agreement for a major electrical contract for the new Y Building to be constructed at Seinäjoki Central Hospital. The property, which will be completed in 2012, will house a regional healthcare emergency centre, among other things. In addition to the cost, factors affecting the selection of Are were the company’s size and know-how. Providing building services for hospitals is one of Are’s areas of special expertise. Currently the company provides building services for the Helsinki and Uusimaa Hospital District, the University Hospitals in Tampere and Turku and the Central Finland Central Hospital. The cost estimate for the Y Building is EUR 57.6 million. The building’s architect designer is Oulu-based UKI Arkkitehdit Oy.
