Appointments in Are Group
The two companies will be merged by the end of 2014. A new Management Team was appointed for Are Group on 16 June 2014. The company’s new organisation will consist of two business areas – Property Services with operations across Finland, and Building Services Contracting which is divided into three geographical regions – and of the operations in Russia.
Heikki Pesu, 47, M.Sc. (Eng.), who will continue as Are Group’s President and CEO, has also been appointed Managing Director of Lemminkäinen Talotekniikka Oy. In addition, Pesu will be the Business Area Director for Southern Finland in Building Services Contracting. Pesu has served as Are Group’s President and CEO since 2011, prior to which he was a Regional Director with Lemminkäinen Talotekniikka Oy.
Seppo Korhonen, 54, eMBA, has been appointed Business Area Director of Property Services. Korhonen previously served as Business Area Director of Are’s Property Services.
Jarmo Liimatainen, 54, Engineer, has been appointed Business Area Director for Central Finland in Building Services Contracting. Liimatainen held the position of Regional Manager for Pirkanmaa with Lemminkäinen Talotekniikka before assuming his current duties.
Petri Alapelto, 42, Engineer, has been appointed Business Area Director for Northern Finland in Building Services Contracting. Alapelto previously served as Regional Manager for Vaasa and Kokkola with Lemminkäinen Talotekniikka.
Pepe Perkiö, 39, Engineer, has been appointed Integration Director, with responsibility also for IT, procurements, project development and other development. Perkiö was previously Business Area Director of Are’s Building Services Contracting.
Laura Kekarainen, 43, M.Sc. (Econ.), has been appointed CFO. Kekarainen has served as Are’s CFO since 2009.
Sari Kulmala, 49, M.Sc. (Econ.), has been appointed HR Director, with responsibility for HR and communications. Kulmala has served as Are Group’s HR Director since 2010.
Lauri Leskinen, 47, eMBA, will continue in the Management Team, holding responsibility for the operations in Russia.
