Are’s energy-efficient Sensus system for new building in Vantaa
Are is to install the building services at the F building using the Are-developed Sensus system. The building services package includes both further planning and installation. The contract covers a gross area of approximately 2,800 m2 and the work is due to be completed by the end of May 2011.
In the past two years Are has completed three Sensus contracts for Technopolis, at sites in Vantaa, Ruoholahti in Helsinki, and Jyväskylä. Are worked very closely with the other parties involved, both during the construction phase and after the buildings were occupied.
“By developing the way we work with others, we can also constantly improve our own operations and the efficiency of projects with our partners. Close cooperation also provides added value for the customer in business premises design,” explains Erkki Laitala, Business Line Director at Are.
At the same time, any overlap in costs can be cut very effectively.
“The well-established cooperation between Are and Fira on a very open basis allows us to guarantee the client a high-quality and cost-efficient outcome,” adds Miska Eriksson, Project Manager at Fira.
The Sensus building services system developed by Are brings savings for the property owner through energy efficiency and the easy convertibility of premises. Heating and power costs fall, because less cooling energy is used than in conventional solutions. For example, at the sites in Ruoholahti and Vantaa the amount of energy consumed is about one fifth less than the target consumption.
