The Are Group lands major plumbing and sewerage overhaul contract in Kuopio
The Are Group, one of Finland’s leading contracting and property services companies, and As Oy Puijonhaka, a housing company in Kuopio, have signed a contract for the plumbing and sewerage overhaul of the Puijonhaka building. Built between 1964 and 1965, the building has 72 apartments and is currently one of the largest plumbing and sewerage overhaul sites in Kuopio. Work on the apartments has already been started and will be completed by the beginning of December 2010.
The Are Group is both the main contractor and the building contractor at the site, and will also attend to HEPAC and electrical work.
Are’s selection as a partner was largely due to the fact that it is able to offer the service as a comprehensive contract. A particular source of satisfaction was Are’s service concept, in which more attention than usual is paid to project management and documentation and to customer communications.
